It didn't take long for me to find three interesting applications on the FCIT.USF.EDU/ website. I checked out the first three and found a wealth of interesting and applicable information for use in a classroom setting.
The first, "Exploring Florida," gives you a set of panoramic visuals of many sites around Florida. But, it doesn't stop there. Just about anything you would like to know about Florida, past or present, can be found on this site. Maps and other visuals are readlily accessible.
Second was teacher's guide to the Holocaust. These pages give detailed information of each concentration camp used by the Nazi party as well as an easy to follow history of the Nazi party's rise to power. Also, are pages with information on all parties involved (directly or indirectly) from the victims to the bystanders.
Third was a treasuretrove of information called the "Educational Technology Clearinghouse." There is a ton of information on most any subject taught in grades K-12. Math, art, language arts, science, you name it is found here! There are pages upon pages. There are lesson plans too. The additional links are endless.
I wasn't too interested in the standards pages (and there were many) because I don't have to deal with them (thank you ,God).
